While larger franchise networks - with greater or less losses, here and there - were able to stay upright, many independent offices were forced to close shop. For the latter, decreasing their rate of commission has been a widespread survival strategy. A number of agents are presently asking for a mere 1% on a successful sale. So, is it worth working for this little or is this a just a sure path towards bankruptcy?
